About Pacific Precious Metals

Pacific Precious Metals is founded on four critical principles. Trust, Integrity, Responsibility, and Philanthropy. We realize that you have a large number of choices when selecting a company to buy gold, and if we want to earn your business for the long term, we need to live up to our founding principles.  We also realize that to be in the business for the long haul that we must not only profit ourselves, but also the communities in which we live and work.

Trust & Integrity

Trust is one of the most important aspects of being in the precious metal business. Anything to do with money requires it. You must feel that you receive both a fair evaluation and a fair price for your items.  When buying bullion or coins, you must receive a competitive price, courteous service, and your precious metal items must be delivered safely and when promised. Pacific Precious Metals strives to provide an experience that deserves repeat business for all our customers.

We do our utmost to accurately determine the precious metal content of all items presented to us for evaluation. We use a variety of techniques, including acid testing, electronic testing, and x-ray fluorescence (commonly called XRF) to test items, with XRF being our primary methodology. Our scales have been tested and approved by the county and we are an approved weigh master by the State of California. We ensure that all customers can see the results displayed on our scales when we evaluate their items in person. In addition, we also analyze items for their specific gravity with high precision scales and testing methods to better determine alloy content when needed.

Responsibility & Philanthropy

We believe that companies who act responsibly and give back to their community will be both more profitable and more enduring than those who do not.

At Pacific Precious Metals we strive to deal with only those refiners that are committed to using technologies and processes that minimize the impact on our environment.  There are many refiners to choose from although most adhere to basic minimum environmental regulations, some go well beyond them. Those are the companies we use to process our scrap precious metals.

Pacific Precious Metals also is firmly committed to philanthropy. We believe that we must give and work with as many charities and non-profit organizations as we can in order to benefit the well being of the communities in which we do business. Currently we are partnered with The Foundation for Reed Schools and Kiddo, both of which benefit children's schools. Should you be involved in a non-profit and interested in partnering with Pacific Precious Metals, feel free to contact us and we would be happy to work with you in order to raise money for a good cause.
